A letter from the GP Surgeries in Felixstowe

As I am sure you are aware, we are all facing difficult uncertain times with the current coronavirus pandemic.  The advice for many older people and those at risk is to stay at home to prevent contracting the virus.  If you feel you would be unable to support yourself by staying at home, I am delighted to advise that help is available locally.

Felixstowe Helping Hands have a team of volunteers who would be able to help you by doing shopping, dog walking, collecting prescriptions etc.  They will also provide phone calls to reassure and to combat loneliness.  They can be contacted on 07479 556736

We also have social prescribers in Felixstowe, Hayley and Debbie, who are also able to put you in touch with other support services.   Hayley can be reached on 07879 602327 and Debbie on 07917 324861.

With very best wishes

Yours sincerely

Dr Paul Driscoll, Partner at Haven Health

Dr Steven Feltwell, Partner at The Grove Medical Centre

Dr Rob Mindham, Partner at Howard House

Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Visits are made to those too ill or infirm to get to the surgery, but it takes four or five times as long to see you at home. So please help us by keeping requests for home visits to a minimum.

When you call the surgery give some simple details of illness to the receptionist. The doctor will then call you back before deciding whether a visit is necessary.

Please ensure we have a the correct contact telephone number for you.
