Howard House Surgery Patient Participation Group
The purpose of a PPG is to provide a way in which patients can be involved in the way the Practice operates. The PPG has been just a small group of patients who meet about 5 times a year but this has quite recently been expanded with a larger group of patients who have registered to be involved by email. The basic method of working is for the PPG to generate surveys which are completed by patients who visit the surgery - and these are now offered by email as well. The results of the surveys are then analysed and a list of actions drawn up which it is hoped will improve the way the practice operates. This list is then discussed and agreed with the clinical staff of the practice. The progress on the actions is reviewed at the regular meetings. All this is reported from time to time on the surgery website. We are keen to have more involvement from patients. We are particularly keen to continue to enlarge our"virtual" patients panel and we would urge you to register by completing a registration slip available in the surgery.
